Call for papers : Documenting Presence in the World: The Cinema of Johan van der Keuken

TECHNÈS is calling for proposals for the international conference Documenter une présence au monde: le cinéma de Johan van der Keuken, to be held from 28 to 30 March 2018 at Université Rennes 2. Organised in collaboration with Université Rennes 2 and Université de Picardie-Jules Verne, this conference’s scholarly committee is made up of Aline Caillet (Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne), Arnaud Duprat (Université Rennes 2), Antony Fiant (Université Rennes 2), Gilles Mouëllic (Université Rennes 2), Benoit Turquéty (Université de Lausanne) and Caroline Zéau (Université de Picardie-Jules Verne, Amiens).
The goal of the international conference Documenter une présence au monde: le cinéma de Johan van der Keuken is to render the complexity of a body of work always in movement and whose political ambition, founded in particular on a trenchant view of inequalities between the global north and south, echoes the turmoil of today’s world.
