An article on the topic of the workshop “La pellicule: objet de recherches” was published in Quartier Libre.

“[Celluloid] enables us to trace a chronology and adds many things to the time of production or the work carried out in post-production.”

An interview with Louis Pelletier, postdoctoral TECHNÈS researcher, and Robin Cauche, doctoral student at the Université de Montréal and member of the TECHNÈS Doctoral Committee.

The aim of the workshop “La pellicule: objet de recherches” was to share knowledge and exchange practices with peers. It was devoted to the technical and methodological issues around research into celluloid film stock.

Louis Pelletier, experienced in archival research and a specialist in celluloid, addressed the methodological issues around the study of celluloid. He also presented a few pieces from his personal collection, which were observed and handled by participants (16mm projection, different formats and emulsions).
