Point of view is not only a question of positioning in the imaginary space produced by the filmmaker, nor is the question of technique limited to the way in which the film’s technicians manipulate and place their cameras and audio recorders in the scene being filmed. Taking these observations as their starting point, the ambition of the texts in this volume is to offer an approach which openly links technique to the indications and implications of point view and point of listening in the cinema.
